We are a home delivery and support service for all your stoma care needs. We have been importing Nu-Hope products for more than 15 years and can deliver retail or prescription* products to your home anywhere in the UK – efficiently, discreetly and free of charge.

Our team also provides on-going support when you need it, ensuring that you always have the best products for you.

We have evolved quickly since the company was founded in 2005…

*Nu-Hope support belts are only available on prescription for England and Wales, not Scotland and Northern Ireland at this point.

Our Timeline

Penlan Medical was born.

We were formed on a wing and a prayer in a back room at home. Who knew where it would lead?

Prescription Approval - Formal recognition of Nu-Hope product quality.

Back to the corporate world in a small way. Not the whole building, only one office within it. Re-joining the commuters, albeit 1.5 miles from home.

The History of Nu-Hope

The history of Nu-Hope is an interesting one of tragedy turned into triumph.

The founder, Edmund Galindo, was told he had one year to live - a urinary diversion was performed in 1958. Ostomy products at that time were complicated, crude and ineffective. Edmund’s quest for help was born.

Keen of mind, Edmund experimented on himself with new appliance designs with the aim to return to an active life of business, golf and swimming.

Doctors in Los Angeles were so impressed they urged him to manufacture and market so others may benefit. At first supplies were freely handed out but in order to continue helping a company had to be formed.​

In 1959 Nu-Hope Laboratories were founded, named after his wife 'Hope'.
